Very good cruise and very good guide. I recommend.

No trip to Egypt would be complete without a cruise on the Nile, the most memorable experience during a holiday to this beautiful country. This 3 day cruise leaves from Aswan and arrives in Luxor, the ancient capital of Thebes.

3 Night Nile Cruise

Day 1: Aswan

We'll pick you up on the first day at Aswan airport, train station, your hotel, or whichever point you would like. Then we'll take you to the cruise boat, where your full room and board is waiting for you.

Day 2: Aswan – Kom Ombo – Edfu

Having eaten breakfast we'll disembark to visit one of the most beautiful temples in all Egypt, the Philae Temple. And for anyone who wants to, there is an optional excursion to the temples of Abu Simbel, which comes highly recommended.

Then, back on the boat, we'll eat and begin to sail along the Nile, arriving at the Kom Ombo Temple at sunset, one of the images of Egypt which will stay with you for life. Then having visited the temple, we'll continue sailing towards Edfu, where we'll drop anchor to eat dinner and spend the night.

Day 3: Edfu – Esna – Luxor

Once we've eaten and with batteries fully charged, we'll visit the Edfu Temple, dedicated to the God Horus. The cruise will then continue on its way towards Esna, where we'll cross the famous floodgate.

Having arrived at the majestic city of Luxor (the ancient Thebes, once the capital) we'll visit two of the most spectacular temples in the country, the Luxor and Karnak temples, separated in antiquity by the Avenue of the Sphinxes, three kilometres long. Here we'll eat and spend the night anchored in Luxor.

Day 4: Luxor

Having eaten and checked out, around 6 am we'll hit the road towards the giant necropoles nearby. We'll visit the Valley of the Kings (taking a look inside three of the tombs) the Hatshepsut Temple (dedicated to the only woman to rule over Egypt for an extended period of time) and the Colossi of Memnon (two giant statues in homage to the Pharoah Amenhotep III). The tour then finishes at around 4:30 pm, then we'll take you to the Luxor airport, the train station, or whichever point in the city you would like.

Boats and Categories

There are three different categories of boat to choose from:

  • 5* Standard: MS Jasimn, Royal Esadora, MS Nile Delta, Miss Egypt or similar.
  • 5* Luxury:  Radamiss II, MS Tuya, Princess Saran, Crown Jewel, MS TiYi, MS Jaz C. Jubilee or similar.
  • 5* Superior Luxury: MS Amarco I, Concerto, MS Le Fayan, Blue Shadow, MS Amwaj, Sonesta Nile Goddess, HS Moon Dance, MS Alexander The Great or similar.

The specific boat will be assigned a week before the activity begins.

All of these boats offer comfort and are a good option to make the most of the cruise. If you're looking for a more luxurious option we recommend the two luxury cruises, their rooms, service and food have that extra special touch.

If you book a standard or luxury category, the first day you get to Aswan whenever you want, and the same applies to the superior luxury category if you arrive on a Friday. However, if you have booked a superior luxury category with arrival on a Wednesday, you must be in Aswan before midday, since you will join a tour on that day.

Important Information

The order of the activities may change depending on the boat, but you'll always enjoy all of the activities indicated in the itinerary. Once on the boat, you can also reserve additional visits not included in the tour, such as the Valley of the Queens, Deir el-Medina or the Unfinished Obelisk.

From 20th December to 2nd January (Christmas), and the 28th of March to the 4th of April 2021 (Easter), refunds will not be available in the event of cancellation.
