    The archaeological site is wonderful, but having Tonny Moreno Vázquez as our guide really made the difference. A cultured and passionate guide, he was invaluable beyond our wildest dreams, allowing us to fully appreciate not only the archaeological site but also the mathematical and astronomical prowess of the Mayan civilization. Highly recommended. I highly recommend the tour that departs at 8:00 a.m., as otherwise the heat risks making the visit less enjoyable.
