Caldera de Taburiente Hiking Tour

The tour meets at 9:15 am at the Los Llanos de Aridane bus station to begin a 16-kilometre route through the Caldera de Taburiente, exploring one of the most famous and magical places on La Palma!

This tour combines routes on foot with sections aboard a vehicle, so we can reach the very heart of the island and visit its emblematic National Park.

First, we will visit the Las Angustias ravine to see its streams, lush Canarian pine forests, and steep sides covered by vegetation. And we'll visit the Los Brecitos viewpoint, where we can stop to take some photos and rest a bit, passing through the "Finca del Cura" (Priest's Estate) - revealing the origins of its unusual name!

After resting, we will visit the visitor center for more detail on the formation of the area, and the special quality of its flora and fauna. Then the walk continues, to visit the beautiful waterfall of colours, and the famous Roque Idafe, an authentic emblem of La Palma.  The final stop is the Taburiente and Las Angustias Ravines: a landscape difficult to forget!

Then we'll climb back aboard vehicle, making our way to the starting point for approximately 6 pm.
