A wonderful experience! We started by visiting Chichikan, its Mayan community, and its spectacular cenote. We strolled through Valladolid, a charming city, and finished with a visit to Chichen Itza, a truly magical place. All of this was accompanied by guides with immense knowledge and a great sense of humor. Thank you, Beto and Jonathan, for transporting us back in time and making it such a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!!!

Day Trip Details

Having picked you up at your hotel in Riviera Maya, we'll make a brief visit to an artisan shop before starting the trip.

First, we'll visit the most important and renowned remains of the Maya civilization—Chichén Itzá. In 1988, it was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site and in 2007 was named one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World!

We'll pass through the ancient city with an expert guide in the Maya world and learn about its history. As we enjoy its legends and curiosities, we'll visit the Chichén Itzá temples. Among the most spectacular are the legendary Kukulcan Temple and the Temple of Warriors, decorated with images of war and guarded by a forest of columns.

From here, we'll make our way to the Chichikan cenote, where we'll be able to take a refreshing dip in the blue waters. After we've dried off, we'll make our way to a local restaurant for a delicious buffet lunch.

Once we've refuelled, we'll make our way toward the colonial city of Valladolid. Here, we'll enjoy a 25-minute scenic tour of the old town, enjoying such sites as the church of San Servacio, the Municipal Palace and the Municipal Market.

Finally, we'll head back to Riviera Maya, dropping you off at your hotel or the meeting point 12 to 13 hours after initial pickup.
